For Smaller Applications
Application | Amount of Bio Iron | Coverage |
---|---|---|
Blending into potting/garden soil | 3 oz | Per cubic foot of potting/garden soil |
Top dressing plants | 1 tsp | Per 4" pot size |
3 oz | Per 1 gallon pot | |
Top Dressing trees/shrubs | 1 oz | Per 1" caliper |
Turf Grass | 8 oz | Per 100 square feet |
BIO IRON can be applied in multiple ways, depending on your crop type and production system. It is versatile enough to be blended into soil or growing media, top dressed on container plants, broadcast over turf, or applied in-furrow in agricultural settings.
For greenhouse and nursery use, blend 3–7 lbs per cubic yard of potting media. Use 5 lbs per yard for standard crops and increase the rate for more challenging or high-demand plants. For maintenance of trees or longer-term crops, lower rates may be used.
Top dressing is ideal for container plants or raised beds. Apply ½–1 tbsp per 4-inch pot or 5–10 lbs per 1,000 square feet. Water lightly to move BIO IRON into the root zone.
For turf grass, use 5–10 lbs per 1,000 square feet for problem areas. For regular maintenance, apply 5 lbs per 1,000 square feet every 4–12 weeks.
In agricultural systems, apply 5–10 lbs per acre via top dress, in-furrow, or soil incorporation. Always try to place the product close to the root system for best results.
Water in after application to activate microbial activity and improve nutrient movement into the soil.
IRON (Fe)
BIO IRON combines 14% plant-available iron from iron humate with a concentrated mix of beneficial microbes. It includes Bacillus subtilis, Bacillus amyloliquefaciens, Bacillus licheniformis, and Streptomyces nigrescens—each selected for its proven ability to support plant growth, improve nutrient uptake, and enhance soil health. These microorganisms work together to boost root development, increase plant vigor, and create a more resilient growing environment.

DIRECTIONS
Blend 3–7 lbs per cubic yard of soil or apply ½–1 tbsp per 4" pot as a top dress.
For turf and field use, apply 5–10 lbs per 1,000 sq ft or per acre.
Water in after application. Reapply every 4–12 weeks as needed.
Greenhouse & Nurseries
Soil Blending: Mix 3–7 lbs of BIO IRON per cubic yard of growing media. Use 5 lbs per yard under typical conditions. Increase rates for more demanding crops; reduce for trees or long-cycle crops.
Top Dressing: Apply ½–1 tbsp per 4″ pot or 5–10 lbs per 1,000 sq ft. Lightly water in to move the product closer to the root zone.
Turf Grass
• For problem areas: Apply 5–10 lbs per 1,000 sq ft
• For general maintenance: Apply 5 lbs per 1,000 sq ft every 4–12 weeks
Agricultural Use
Apply 5–10 lbs per acre as a top dress, in-furrow, or soil incorporation. Apply as close to the plant’s root zone as possible.
Smaller-Scale Applications
• Soil blending: 3 oz per cubic foot of potting/garden soil
• Top dress: 1 tsp per 4″ pot
• 3 oz per 1-gallon pot

BIO IRON
BIO IRON is a concentrated blend of iron humate and beneficial plant-associated microbes designed to boost root health, nutrient uptake, and overall plant performance.
- Enhances root growth and vigor
- Increases iron availability in the root zone
- Improves nutrient cycling and uptake
- Promotes greener, more resilient plants
- Non-phytotoxic and safe for all crops
- Dust-free and easy to apply
The Bacillus and Streptomyces strains in BIO IRON are soil-friendly microbes that colonize the rhizosphere and improve root zone biology. They support iron solubilization, organic matter breakdown, and help plants access hard-to-reach nutrients.
BIO IRON is approved for use on:
Vegetables, Fruits, Herbs, Hemp, Ornamentals, Trees, Shrubs, Vines, Greenhouse Crops, Turfgrass, Landscape Plants,
Nursery Containers, Raised Beds, Row Crops,
… and much more
Application Directions
BIO IRON can be applied as a soil blend, top dress, broadcast, or in-furrow. It is compatible with most fertilizers and soil conditioners and supports both organic and conventional systems. BIO IRON is dust-free, non-phytotoxic, and does not require agitation or special mixing equipment.
Soil Blend
To enrich potting or garden soil, blend 3 to 7 pounds of BIO IRON per cubic yard of media. For typical crops, 5 pounds per yard is recommended. Increase the rate for high-demand or problem crops. Lower rates may be used for longer-cycle plants like trees and perennials.
Top Dressing
Apply ½ to 1 tablespoon per 4” pot, or 5 to 10 pounds per 1,000 square feet. For trees and shrubs, use 1 ounce per 1” trunk caliper. Lightly water in after application to move BIO IRON closer to the root zone and activate the beneficial microbes.
Turf & Field Application
Apply 5 to 10 pounds per 1,000 square feet for turf, or 5 to 10 pounds per acre in agricultural systems. For general turf maintenance, reapply every 4 to 12 weeks. For best results, apply as near to the plant’s root system as possible and water in after spreading.
